RENO, Nev. – The Children’s Cabinet is pleased to announce Michael Brazier has joined The Children’s Cabinet team as the Chief Operations Officer.

“We are excited to welcome Michael to the team,” said Kim Young, Chief Executive Officer of The Children’s Cabinet. “He brings a history of work in the non-profit arena, a business background, and, most importantly, a great passion and energy for the work we do in Nevada. As The Cabinet looks forward to our next steps and opportunities to positively impact the lives of children and families, Michael’s role will help support the staff and infrastructure we need to grow and meet the demands of the communities we serve.”

Brazier has 14 years of experience in revenue generation, management, and leading cross-functional teams. Most recently, he served as the CEO and President of United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra (UWNNS). During his tenure, he developed strategic plans that doubled the annual budget through focused efforts on diversifying revenue, building relationships, and rebranding United Way’s role in the community. Brazier led UWNNS’s response to COVID-19, and successfully launched new programs, including a one-on-one reading mentoring program and a program that provides access to free high-quality pre-k.

Before UWNNS, Brazier spent over 10 years in fundraising leadership roles in national health organizations, including leading regional and digital fundraising efforts at the American Cancer Society and leading the national walk program at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

He holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and a Master of Business Administration. Additionally, he has a certificate on a strategic approach to corporate social responsibility and diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. Currently, Michael serves on the Board of Directors for Truckee Meadows Tomorrow.
