Review Environmental Rating Scale and Nevada Pre-K Standards related to language interactions and development. We will talk about the importance of language development during preschool years and how responsive teachers increase children’s vocabulary during meaningful conversations. We will also share strategies to plan high-quality interactions throughout the day.
Training Objectives:
1. Attendees will be able to explain the importance of language development during preschool years.
2. Attendees will recall that listening and speaking are the key to develop communication skills
3. Attendees will identify strategies to support high-quality interactions between teachers and preschoolers.
Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience.
