OST: Bits and Bolts of Afterschool Program Management

Participants will use a carousel of self-directed mini-centers to teach best practices for group management. A guidebook will provide instructions for the interactive activities. The featured ready-to-use and easy-to-apply practices and techniques will be provided for easy application into your program.

Training Objectives:

1. Participants will learn effective group management strategies for afterschool programs.

2. Participants will learn how to provide activities for management to include in their afterschool environment.

3. Participants will understand the concept of using tools to implement various activities in a carousel method.

Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training.
