CKA: Observation and Assessment
Hearing more about Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) in our schools these days? Learning which STEM Abilities 21st century youth (ages 6-16) need for success and how your afterschool can support the development of these skills in fun and interactive ways.
Training Objectives:
1. Participants will learn the importance of good observation skills and how to foster these to youth
2. Participants will be introduced and explore STEM Abilities in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics
3. Participants will learn how to identify ways to incorporate appropriate teaching and opportunities in afterschool settings that develop STEM abilities.
Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training.
