Creative partnerships have transformed afterschool programs and inspired kids’ interest in science, engineering, and technology (SET) while supporting positive youth development. Providing SET experiences in your afterschool programs is hard to do alone. Qualified and willing community partners and collaborators can strengthen your program and add more interest.
Training Objectives:
To acquaint participants with the benefits and challenges of developing community partnerships and/or collaborations.
To enhance staff ability in identifying community partners and volunteers for a SET afterschool programming.
To enhance the staff’s understanding of the four key elements – TRUST, COMMUNICATION, EQUALITY AND LEADERSHIP – of building or strengthening partnerships and/or collaborations.
