CKA:  Positive Interactions & Guidance

Do you have problem behaviors in your program? Do you feel exhausted by the behavior of children in your program? Based on Pyramid Model principles, this training will focus on understanding the communicative message behind challenging behaviors and how to identify skills that can be targeted for instruction.

Training Objectives:

1. Participants will be able to identify when to begin the intensive intervention process.

2. Participants will be able to define challenging behaviors and how these differ from developmentally appropriate behaviors.

3. Participants will identify form and function of behavior

Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training. If you have questions or concerns, or need additional information about this process, feel free to contact the Professional Development Training Coordinator at 775-856-6200.
