Music is a natural and important part of growth and development. Early experiences with music positively affect all areas of development. Through hands on music and movement activities learners will gain resources and discover the role music and movement plays in social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of children.
Training Objectives:
1 . After this training learners will be able to define the role music plays in child development.
2 . Directly after this training learners will be able to use the handouts provided, to implement a variety of music and movement activities in the classroom to help children develop a variety of skills.
3 . Learners will implement music and movement related activities to include in their curriculum upon completion of this training.
Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training.
