QRIS: Building Inclusive Futures: A Special Needs Training for Child Care

Core Knowledge Area: Family & Community Relationships

Description: Child Care providers will gain insights into Individual Education Plans and Individualized Family Service Plans. They will learn practical inclusion strategies and enhance family collaboration skills when working with families of children with special needs.

Training Objectives:

  1. Learners will identify IEP and IFSP variables with 60% accuracy in post-training assessment.
  2. Learners will develop an inclusion plan incorporating at least three evidence based strategies discussed in the training within 90 days.
  3. Learners will create a family communication plan with strategies to foster collaboration and support for families of children with special needs within

Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training.
