Las Vegas – The Health Effects of Lead Exposure & Prevention Strategies

Content begins with a game that identifies key areas of lead knowledge, and will then cover what lead actually is, a history of its usage over time, how lead enters the body & the health effects of exposure, and finally resources to prevent lead exposure (testing drinking water, paint, blood).

Training Objectives:

1.By the end of this session, learners will be able to identify children who may be more susceptible to lead exposure.

2.By the end of this session, learners will be able to identify 3 organizations that can assist with lead prevention information.

3.By the end of this session, learners will be able to identify 3 or more sources of lead in the home or facility.

Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training.
