Learning Event Summary:
This training will help early childhood providers understand neurodiverse learning and development, including characteristics of neurodevelopmental conditions such as ASD, ADHD, and sensory processing differences. Participants will learn inclusive strategies to support engagement, emotional regulation, and family collaboration in early learning environments.
Learning Outcomes:
1 . Learners will identify characteristics of neurodiverse learners and explain how neurodevelopmental differences impact learning, social interactions, and emotional regulation in early childhood setting.
2 . Learners will develop an inclusion plan incorporating at least three evidence-based strategies to support neurodiverse learners in early childhood classrooms within 90 days.
3 . Learners will create a family communication plan with strategies that foster collaboration and support for families of neurodiverse children within their early learning program.
Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training.
