This session will provide an overview on Nevada’s state policy on early childhood expulsion and suspension. We will review how the Pyramid Model and QRIS programs align to support providers in finding strategies to decrease challenging behaviors in their classrooms.
Training Objectives:
1. Participants will recognize the relationship between Pyramid Model and QRIS programs.
2. Participants will identify suspension and expulsion practices
3. Participants will identify form and function of behavior and gain understanding that behavior is a form of communication.
Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience.
