CKA: Observation and Assessment

For early childhood educators, there are a lot of things to consider and do when it comes to assessment. Participants will be exposed to scenarios that will get them thinking about the value of assessment and how it can be used to provide the best possible practice in the classroom.

Training Objectives :

1 . To define what assessment is and list its importance.

2 .To identify the steps involved in making an assessment.

3 .To evaluate scenarios that will identify appropriate assessment practices to incorporate into the daily routines.

Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training. If you have questions or concerns, or need additional information about this process, feel free to contact the Professional Development Training Coordinator at 702-825-8978
