When children understand the expectations for their behavior and when expectations are taught to children using a range of strategies, they are less likely to engage in challenging behavior. This training will discuss ways to promote social and emotional development through behavior expectation and classroom rules.

Training Objectives:

1. Participants will learn the difference between rules and expectations.

2. Participants will learn how to implement behavior expectations.

3. Participants will learn how to implement rules into their classrooms.

Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training. If you have questions or concerns, or need additional information about this process, feel free to contact the Professional Development Training Coordinator at 775-856-6200.
