In this learning event, participants will embark on a journey exploring the importance of reading aloud in their classrooms. They will dive into the six essential reading and comprehension skills. With newly gained knowledge, they are able to modify activities to use with a variety of books in their classroom.

Training Objectives:

1 . By the end of this learning event, participants will be able to relate why reading aloud to children enhances their development.

2 . By the end of this learning event, participants will be able to illustrate ways to use the six essential skills.

3 . By the end of this learning event, participants will be able to customize activities to a variety of books in their classroom.

Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training.
