Instructor: Samantha Hour

Participants will learn about the different assessments tools used in programs, they will understand the importance of having an assessment tool to help with curriculum planning and meeting the child’s individual needs. Participants will learn how to use formal and informal tools effectively in the classroom.

Learning Objective

1.About the difference in assessment tools.

  1. Understand why observations and assessment are important to meet the children needs
  2. Know the difference between formal and informal assessments and observations

Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training.
