MITM training will provide opportunities for adults to examine child development research and themselves to create strategic actions they can take to promote executive function-based skills in children ages 0-8.
Training Objectives:
1. Learn that the Life Skill of Making Connections calls on Executive Functions in order to categorize.
2. Recognize that Making Connections is central to learning because the skill underlies symbolic representation.
3. Explore making unusual connections and how they relate to creativity.
Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training. If you have questions or concerns, or need additional information about this process, feel free to contact the Professional Development Training Coordinator at 775-856-6200.
