CKA: Positive Interactions and Guidance

Giving clear, age-appropriate directions and providing encouragement and positive feedback to children, which are powerful tools in the prevention of challenging behavior. Specific strategies will be given for providing directions and feedback.

Learning Objectives

•Participants will identify considerations for their particular age group.

•Participants will be able to give clear and concise directions.

•Participants will identify how to use positive feedback to reinforce desired behavior.

Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training.
