One of the biggest challenges facing after school program staff is the behavior of youth. One or two misbehaving children can completely alter the planned outcomes of the day. Positive guidance techniques are important tools for assuring that all youth can benefit from the program.

Training Objectives:

1 . To learn reasons youth may be mistaken in the way they behave

2 . To acquaint participants with guidance techniques and when to use each.

3 .To learn a step-by-step process for responding to mistaken behavior.

Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training.
