Involving teens as volunteers in afterschool programming is a proven strategy for building leadership and life skills in teens, as well as in younger youth enrolled in afterschool programs. Younger youth respond well to teen instructors, who often provide a positive role model for them. In this session, you will share key elements for recruiting, training and engaging teens in afterschool settings.
