This workshop is for early childhood educators who work with children ages 0 to 5. Participants will learn about the sexual development of children and learn how to respond appropriately to a child’s sexual behaviors in a way that fosters safety and healthy development, while preventing child sexual abuse.
Training Objectives:
1. Learn about the sexual development of children.
2. Learn how to respond appropriately to a child’s sexual behavior.
3.Discuss ways to fosters safety and healthy development, while preventing child sexual abuse.
Please Note: This training DOES NOT satisfy the requirements of the 2 hour requirement every five years to complete “recognizing and reporting abuse”.
Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training.
