This session will explain what is literacy in science through story books, games and experiments. This session will focus on the importance and strategies of increasing literacy in science. As a teacher, how do you support literacy development without losing content time for science?

Training Objectives:

1.To explore current research that support the development of literacy in science.

2.To identify challenges associated with literacy in science.

3.To model the strategies that increase literacy in science

Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training.
