CKA: Environment & Curriculum
Participants will build an understanding of the physical design of the classroom. Through discussions and activities, they will understand the influence of the environment on children’s level of engagement in the class activities and the prevention of challenging behaviors.
Training Objectives:
1 . By the end of this session, learners will identify components in the environment that might affect behavior.
2 . By the end of this session, learners will recall examples of high-quality classroom environments.
3 . By the end of this session, learners will be able to identify arrangements and spacing appropriate for children of different age groups and considerations of differing mobility.
Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience.
