The Vital Role of Arts in the Lives of Young Children

The learning event will cover the importance of art and creativity for young children. It will focus on the different types of art and how it supports a child’s development. Focus is also on the connections to learning of cognitive, physical, and social skills.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Be able to identify the stages of development in writing and drawing.
  2. Understand symbolic systems of communication for young children.
  3. Demonstrate the importance of nurturing creativity in young children.

Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training.
