In a significant milestone for The Children's Cabinet, we proudly reached 249 employees, a testament to our growth and the increasing demand for our services in supporting children and families across Nevada. The Children's Cabinet celebrated 30 years of service at the Art of Childhood Fundraising Gala in 2015.
In 2022, The Children's Cabinet unveiled a fresh new logo, marking an exciting new chapter for the organization. The updated design replaced our previous logo, which had proudly represented the organization for nearly two decades.
The Children’s Cabinet, in collaboration with Connect Washoe County, Renown Health, the State Office of Suicide Prevention, and the Washoe County School District, hosted the first annual Youth Mental Health Summit in Reno. This full-day event brought together mental health providers and caring adults to highlight the importance of youth mental health, fostering education, collaboration, and support for young people in the community. With engaging presentations and discussions, the summit set the foundation for future conversations and initiatives aimed at improving youth well-being.
From 2022-2023, The Children's Cabinet served a record 15,000+ families in Nevada.
Cabinet Ink, a Reno-based, youth-run digital printing business dedicated to providing at-promise youth with invaluable hands-on working opportunities, reopened in 2023. Through Cabinet Ink, these young individuals gain practical business skills and learn marketable abilities that will serve them throughout their careers.
In August of 2023, The Children's Cabinet celebrated the 25th Annual Art of Childhood with hundreds of dedicated supporters at The Club at Rancharrah, achieving a record amount of donations to support our Free Family Counseling program.
In 2024, The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) awarded The Children's Cabinet the prestigious Accredited Provider accreditation.
In 2025, The Children's Cabinet celebrates 40 years of public service in Nevada, recognizing the clients, partners, and supporters who have been part of this journey.
