Keeping Children Safe and Families Together

At The Children’s Cabinet, our mission is to keep children safe and families together. We provide programs and services at no charge to youth and their families in our community. We support young children to young adults, so that they can thrive within their schools, their families, and their neighborhoods. There is no wrong door, and we will ensure those who need us are provided the proper resources regardless of their circumstances.

Cabinet Spotlight:
Maria Mendoza

Maria is our Subsidy Coordinator and recently celebrated 20 years of service with The Children’s Cabinet!

Here’s what Maria had to say about her journey:

“I applied after having a guest speaker talk great things about The Cabinet in one of my college classes (she still works here too!) I was attracted to the mission statement, but what sold me was the wall of employees’ baby pictures at the Rock Office. To me, that represents the soul of this agency; children who grow up and care a great deal about our community. I have stayed here because, every day, I leave knowing I have made a difference in at least one person’s life. Also, the love, encouragement, and passion we share amongst each other as colleagues is invincible.”

Thank you for all you do for us, Maria, and the children and families we serve!
